Életrajz

Ádám Brandenburg was born in 1991 and currently resides in Budapest. His works are performed both at home and abroad, and he has a wide, creative repertoire, including solo and chamber works, orchestral compositions, and vocal pieces. In addition to concert music, he also writes theater music and film scores, as well as popular music. His textual and instrumental compositions often focus on sacred themes which are based on biblical passages and poems by Hungarian writers. In 2017, he graduated with high honors from the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest with a BA in Applied Composition, and an MA in Composition; he was a student of Gyula Fekete, Zsófia Tallér, and Judit Varga. At the time of publication, he is writing his DLA doctoral dissertation at the University of Theater and Film Arts in Budapest, focusing on Hungarian film compositions of the mid-20th century. During his studies, he received the Hungarian Republic Scholarship and was also funded by a scholarship from the New National Excellence Program. Since 2014, he has been teaching solfeggio, music theory, music history, and applied composition at the University of Theater and Film Arts in Budapest. Among his national and international competitional achievements and awards, the most notable is the Artisjus Junior Prize. He is a member of the Hungarian Composers’ Union.
